How To Turn Off Comments

Disable Comments for Future Posts #

1. Go to the WordPress Dashboard.
2. Navigate to Settings > Discussion.
3. Uncheck the box next to “Allow people to submit comments on new posts”.
4. Save changes.

This will disable comments for any new posts, but existing posts will still have comments enabled.

Disable Comments on Individual Posts or Pages #

1. Go to Posts or Pages in the Dashboard.
2. Edit the specific post or page where you want to disable comments.
3. In the Discussion section (usually below the editor), uncheck “Allow comments”.
4. If you don’t see the Discussion section, click Screen Options (top right of the screen), and check the box for Discussion.
5. Update or publish the post/page.

Disable Comments for All Existing Posts or Pages #

1. Go to Posts > All Posts or Pages > All Pages.
2. Select all posts or pages using the checkbox at the top.
3. In the Bulk Actions dropdown, select Edit and click Apply.
4. Set Comments to Do not allow, then click Update.
